Ok, I don’t really know you and I understand what you’re saying is absolutely correct. But I’m not sure if you know what my relationship is with Charlotte, she’s one of my best friends. Like hands down, I go to their room everyday just to hang out with her and trying to make sure she’s doing fine, loving college, and feeling happy and calm. When I say things like that to her, she knows they are all jokes and in no way real comments of me dismissing her feelings. She also knows that if she is really serious, then I am here for her…and she can call me, to go outside and take a walk like we’ve done many a times when either she or I are down. So, I’d like to politely apologize to you for making those comments, but you honestly don’t understand the context they go in and I hope she doesn’t take them the wrong way either because she knows that I’m always kidding and am just trying to make her smile with one of my failed attempts at humor. Well, this is sufficiently awkward. I must now go not care about your anonymity elsewhere.
